Ghostzapper’s great victory in the 2004 Breeders Cup Classic and Island Sands win in the 2004 Acorn S. [G1] were wonderful results for Doninga.

Since 1987, Doninga has presented for sale either publicly or privately young mares. Prior to 1996 we used other agents. Doninga has a policy of selling all its mares – none are held back. 51 Doninga mares have become stakes producers for their new owners. The consignments have been small and select – very seldom selling more than 20 annually.

Doninga has bought or sold the dams of FIVE Grade 1 Stakes Winners, including GHOSTZAPPER’S dam BABY ZIP– none costing more than $100,000.

TWO Grade 1 Stakes Winners, Island Sand and The Groom is Red, have been sold as foals or yearlings – the most expensive for $82,000.

I am very proud of Doninga’s consistent success since 1987, both in the sales ring and on the racecourse.
